Summary0001537: Clarification of DeadbandAbsolute support
Description

Part 4 describes the AbsoluteDeadband and DataChangeFilter behavior. The text implies that deadband is required (because of the filter), but does not explicitly say so.

I was thinking that the Monitor Value Change conformance unit could explicitly require deadband support. Although the question becomes, how does this affect Micro profile though?

As of now, the CTT treates DeadbandAbsolute as OPTIONAL until this is clarified.

Additional Information

in Aug 16th call agreed to make this required

This incident was discussed again today on the CMPWG call. We have decided to move forward asserting that DeadbandAbsolute is required. We need this feature to be explicitly mentioned within a Conformance Unit description like the original proposal.
