Summary0001870: Attribute read errros and QueryDataSet
Description

QueryFirst and QueryNext returns array of QueryDataSets. Each QueryDataSet contains an array of values. Reading some values may cause an error. It's not clear how this errors should be returned:

  1. QueryFirst and QueryNext causes ServiceFault.
  2. Value contains StatusCode (how client distinguish this if an attribute already has StatusCode data type).
  3. Something else returned.

Agreed to clarify that 2 is correct and a status code data type cannot be distinguished by the client from a status code injected by the query or event message. This clarification needs to appear for both events and query

Added clarification to Table 154 – QueryDataSet -> values
"If a value has a bad status, the StatusCode is returned instead of the value. "

Changed in document "OPC UA Part 4 - Services RC 1.02.15 Specification.doc"
