Summary0001917: 3.4.2 Endpoint: address requires a hostname?
Description

I thought that there was some dialog about this hostname requirement and how difficult it could be to accomplish on an embedded device. Suggest rephrasing the current text:

"NOTE Each Server may have multiple Endpoints. The address of an Endpoint must include a HostName."

... to:

"NOTE Each Server may have multiple Endpoints. The address of an Endpoint must include either a HostName or an IP Address."

This is a good catch. It is not technically feasible for all servers to have a hostname.

Agreed to update 3.4.4 definition for "HostName" to specifically allow IP Address.

Extended definition of HostName (3.4.4) with "The identifier can be an IP address."

Added in document "OPC UA Part 4 - Services RC 1.02.15 Specification.doc"
