Summary | 0002910: Table 23 - Application Instance Certificate restricts use of IP Address
Description | The subjectAltName field description states that "Servers shall specify a dNSName or IPAddress which identifies the machine where the Application Instance runs. Additional dNSNames may be specified if the machine has multiple names. The IPAddress should not be specified if the Server has dNSName." In the case of a server with multiple hostnames including some accessible via a NAT firewall (as an example) the Server may have DNS Names that are resolvable on the LAN and IP Adddresses for remote access. In this case it is desirable to have both IP Addresses and DNS Names in the certificate so I think we should eliminate this guidance from the table.
