| Summary | 0003069: XML Union + Optional Structure mappings lose information. | ||||
| Description | With XML enums the mapping appends the numeric value to the name because that was the only way to preserve the value needed for the binary encoding. The same issue exists for the Union and Optional Structures which rely on numeric values in the binary encoding. We need to decide if reversible mappings are an important requirement. | ||||
