Summary0000456: Reading anotations with HA
Description

We had an interface to read annotations in COM HDA.
In UA we have an aggregate to count annotations, we have a data type to transport annotations but I did not find a way to read the annotations. There is nothing defined how a client can read, insert and delete annotations.

Did I miss something or did we forget something in the specification?

Added section 4.6.2.4 HasAnnotations
-"The HasAnnotationsType is a concrete ReferenceType and can be used directly. It is a subtype of NonHierarchicalReferences.
The semantic of this ReferenceType is to bind a DataVariable or a Property to its HasAnnotationsType Object.
The SourceNode of this ReferenceType must be a HistroicalDataNode. The TargetNode must be an Object of the DataType Annotation. See clause 4.8.1 Multiple HistoricalDataNodes may reference the same Annotations Node."

  • Section 4.6.3 Address Space.
    Updated Figure 2 and added clarifying text for Annotations.

Annotations read like any other history variable.

Added special insert/replace/update options to deal with annotations.

The presumption is the AnnotationCount aggregate will return same result as the Count operation on the Annotation property.
