Summary | 0008261: Part 83, section 7.7.1 It is not possible to sign parts of a Descriptor. (from G. Biehler)
Description | The wording in section 7.7.1 means that it is not possible to sign parts of a descriptor … I think this breaks the use case, where one starts with a descriptor and adds AML files and attachments to it. Validation of the signature would only be possible by using the embedded descriptors – right? If so, it would be nice to state that somewhere.

No change is required. It is intended to allow only whole descriptor signatures.. If later things are added the a resign needs to take place. |
