Summary0008807: UAFX Asset SoftwareUpdate should not require support of FxAsset
Description

UAFX Asset SoftwareUpdate states, "Supports at least one instance of FxAssetType, or a subtype of it, that includes support of the SoftwareUpdate AddIn." This conformance unit was created because none existed for the SoftwareUpdate AddIn from Part 100.
However as written, it requires FxAssetType, or a subtype of it. To be considered an FxAsset you do not have to implement FxAssetType, or a subtype of it. Instead you could create your own type and implement the required interfaces.
This CU should be investigated to see if it should be reworded to reflect that.

The CU was made more generic. The SoftwareUpdate Addin will be tested the same regardless of where it is added into the information model.
The CUs were reworded to reflect this decision. This was reviewed and approved in an AWG meeting.
