Description

CMPWG/UAWG Jun-30-2015:

6.3.9 NonTransparentRedundancyType
The call today described adding an OPTIONAL parameter to contain the serviceLevel of the redundant servers. This will allow a client to connect to one Hot+PM Server to conduct normal OPC activities as well as monitoring the status of the redundant servers.

With this fix in place, it will eliminate the need for the Client to establish a connection to the redundant servers to poll (read on a timer) the service level.

Jun-30-2015 Phone Discussion Notes:

  • UA Part 4 will likely need some modifications in section 6.4.2.4.5.5 (HotPlusMirrored).

  • UA Part 7 will need new Conformance Units added for redundancy

  • Possibly release this update in an errata to expedite the release, and to NOT wait for inclusion in UA 1.04.
