Summary0009126: Usage of EnumValues instead of EnumString
Description

The EnumString Properties of the following Nodes could be replaced by EnumValues due to the "reserved" options which can be considered as gabs:

  • MasterType, NodeId: 6108, SMI mapping: MasterType , Table E.2 – MasterIden
  • Pin2Configuration, NodeId: 6160, SMI mapping: I/Q behavior, Table E.3 – PortConfigList
  • (Port) Status, NodeId: 6170, SMI mapping: PortStatusInfo, Table E.4 – PortStatusList

This problem is especially seen in (Port) Status EnumStrings, where almost 250 empty LocalizedText array entries are used.
The EnumString Properties of the following Nodes although have no reserved options between the other options, could be changed to EnumValues as well in case the reserved options got filled in future SMI releases:

  • ValidationAndBackup, NodeId: 6156, SMI mapping: Validation&Backup, Table E.3 – PortConfigList
  • PortClass, NodeId: 6151, SMI mapping: PortTypes , Table E.2 – MasterIden
  • PortMode, NodeId: 6158, SMI mapping: PortMode, Table E.3 – PortConfigList
  • Baudrate, NodeId: 6165, SMI mapping: TransmissionRate, Table E.4 – PortStatusList
