OPC UA clients must be able to browse and discover all devices on a CIP network and their associated subnets.
Gateways shall use standard CIP browsing techniques to identify all devices on their downstream ports.
Gateways shall present downstream devices in a standard manner.

Relationships between CIP devices that have been defined and/or can be determined, shall be represented in the OPC UA Information model, so that these relationships can be obtained by an OPC UA client.

Standard OPC UA topology discovery will be used to find servers. Standard CIP browsing techniques will be used to collect information from CIP-only devices an presented by gateways. Gateways will be able to present a structure of CIP devices that they are collecting information from by using the DeviceSet entry point specified in Part 100. The interconnection of devices on a network can be represented using the elements of the Device Host Integration model also defined in Part 100.
