  • variable prevMNR_i serves to identify repeated ResponseSPDUs
  • but it is also incremented in case of WDTimeout, i.e., without a ResponseSPDU having been received
  • this leads to the currently valid ResponseSPDU generating an ID error, from which there is no recovery
