In these chapters, only the server is mentioned and what is meant is an OPC UA server.

  • What is meant - in particular the validation described in part 4 - if it is NOT an OPC UA server/client?
    • The validation described in part 4 only makes sense for OPC UA servers/clients.
  • How can a client be handled - description required for OPC UA clients and NON OPC UA servers/clients?

This Method may be called within the context of an ApplicationConfiguration Object (see 7.10.14) which means the Certificate may be used by a Client or a non-OPC UA application. Not all of the steps in the validation process will apply.
