Discovery message are also used for engineering unit changes and other updates - so I'm not so sure they are not needed - this topic should be discussed further before any changes

Discussed during the 5/14/2025 AWG meeting -

Reacting to a metadata change while a UAFX PubSub Connection is active is impossible without user intervention. However, there are multiple different matadate messages that can be distributed, and a subset of those might be actionable by the subscribing Controller.

The topic needs to be discussed in the BFWG before making a final decision.
