Summary0001733: Self-Test mode in UA Compliace Test Tool
Description

The TAC decided in the September 2011 meeting to have no self-tested certification level but to still provide a capability to generate self-test results for OPC UA testing. This result can be used for product documentation or for software certificate generation.

This requires that the compliance test tool has a special mode that is

  • checking the consistency of the test cases
  • makes sure all test cases for the supported profiles is executed

For checking the consistency there

  • needs to be a check sum of the standard test cases generated when creating the setup
  • needs to be a way to seperate standard test cases from user specific test cases

This feature request still makes sense but the installer as well as the CTT binaries needs to be modified for that. Nevertheless, because of the short timeline I recommend to defer it.

This functionality will also apply to information model testing, so it will be important that grouping of test cases can be validated and delivered.
