I discussed this issue with Wolfgang and added also a Matis issue for Part 5.

Possible solutions if substatemachine is inactive:

  • Read / DataChange for current state variable returns NULL values or an error
  • Related event fields are NULL

By definition of the select clause for event subscriptions in Part 4 a NULL shall be returned if a event field is unavailable for a given event.

Updated text related to LimitState to indicate that this state machine is a substate of the activeState true state and as such is only available if the ActiveState is true. (version 1.02.10)
