Summary0002608: Writing of IndexRange optional?
Description

There are systems where it is not possible to write an IndexRange in a consistent way. The best example is an OPC UA server that is a wrapper for a COM DA Server.

I thought we have a status code and description for this case to reject this write. But I did not find anything when searching OPC UA Part 4 during the IOP workshop last week in Nuremberg.

Added the following clarification to Table 55 – Write Service Parameters - parameter indexRange:
A Server shall return a Bad_WriteNotSupported error if writing of indexRange is not possible for the Node.

Resolved in document IEC 62541-4 - Services [Pre-CDV] 1.02.03.doc
