Summary0003516: Installation problem updating from OPC Core Components Redistributable 3.0.105.1
Description

I already have OPC Core Components Redistributable 3.0.105.1 x64 installed on my computer. I then run setup.exe for latest "OPC Core Components Redistributable (x64)" version 3.00.106.0 and go through the installation wizard. No errors are reported during installation and the new OPC Core Components appears to install correctly. It however did NOT install correctly as programs that rely on it will NOT run. I also could not uninstall the OPC Core Components and got error "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.". I had to repair OPC Core Components before uninstall would work. when I run programs that use the OPC Core Components the applications will NOT run, and they report errors that OPC Core Components needs to be installed. If I then do a repair on the "OPC Core Components Redistributable (x64)" version 3.00.106.0 the problem is fixed. If I uninstall the old version 3.0.105.1 then install new version 3.00.106.0 it does install correctly and programs that use it work correctly. My problem with this is that the install of OPC Core Components 2.0.106.0 should either uninstall the old version itself or update the old version correctly. Is this a known issue?

To developers of OPC Core Components Redistributables: Any idea / timeframe when this bug will be fixed?
