Please create a Mantis Issue that the "Monitor Client Value Change" conformance unit is testing a feature defined in list own conformance unit "Monitor Client Deadband Filter".

Solving this issue requires changes to Part 7 Profiles of the UA Spec.

Description of Conformance Units defined in Part 7

  • Monitor Client Value Change
    "... Set proper sampling interval, Deadband filter and queuing mode. ..."
  • Monitor Client Deadband Filter
    "Uses Absolute Deadband filters for subscriptions."

While the "Monitor Client Value Change" CU is required when supporting Subscriptions, the "Monitor Client Deadband Filter" is optional.
Discuss in UA Working Group whether the support of AbsoluteDeadband is required for all Clients supporting Subscriptions (like for servers), or if this is an optional feature and the text and test cases of the "Monitor Client Value Change" CU needs to be changed.
