Summary0005938: Conformance Units for limit requirements should be separate from units that define functional requirements
Description

There are multiple cases where the bundling of features and capacities is not ideal:

  • Growing number of products with rich feature set but limited scalability (e.g. PLCs, SDKs)
  • Some vendors have license models which change the capacities
  • New markets utilize OPC UA with other requirements (e.g. Large ReadOnly Servers)
  • Not intuitive for vendors and end users
