Summary0006242: Additional Status Codes needed
Description

As part of the O-PAS authoring effort, it has become necessary to add new Status Codes to the existing OPC UA offering. These codes provide two key features:

  1. Mapping of PROFIBUS PA and FOUNDATION Fieldbus field device status codes to the proposed OPC UA Status Codes
  2. Mechanisms for function block initialization between proposed DCN embedded function blocks (both intraDCN and interDCN)
    ---a. This may also include initialization between DCN components and digital field devices that support such functions.
Additional Information

In the attached .pdf document, the legend indicates which codes are re-used from the existing OPC UA Status Code offering.
It further shows the proposed (new) Status Codes which O-PAS wishes to create within the OPC UA standard. (See column entitled "Status Codes (New & Existing)") Codes in this column - codes that have a cell with a white fill-color - are the newly proposed additions.
