| Description | Need discussion on what to when a type has a complex object or variable as InstanceDeclaration with optional components from the TypeDefinition but the optional components are not replicated in the type. This has the effect of hiding the optional components from the subtypes which could create issues. Some guidance is required. | ||||

Not sure we need to discuss this more in the spec. Is there already as discussion about optional compenents "reserving" the name? |

I believe this is addressed by the fix for Mantis 3979 which explains what instances have to do related to non-existent optional components. |
