| Summary | 0007709: ApplicationIdentifierDataType UniqueIdentifier field using NodeId DataType is strange. | ||||
| Description | I understand the intention to reuse the existing DataType, but still it looks strange to use the NodeId to describe an identifier which is not an identifier of a Node. Without having a look into the specification and reading the cryptic "Note", one may be confused what kind of Node this is referring to. During prototyping I have a dilemma now, what NS index shall I put in my identifier. I would recommend to add a new Union DataType that would contain all possibilities which are available for the NodeId, but would not have a connotation with the Node. | ||||
