Description

Currently diagnostic are included in general session behavior (diagnostics in the message header) - we think that this should in its own conformance unit, since diagnostics as part of a session are not very realistic - make more sense to test this in a browse command or read command.

I agree to separate Conformance Units. I think it should stay in the "Session" group and not added to each service separately.

"Session Return Diagnostics" -- Server supports returning available diagnostic information as requested with the 'returnDiagnostics' parameter.
"Session Client Request Diagnostics" -- Client requests diagnostic information with the 'returnDiagnostics' parameter in Service requests.

Fixed in 1.04 and 1.05 both for Client and Server as follows

  • Created Conformance Group "Base Services"
  • Removed "return diagnostics" from Base Service Behaviour CU
  • Created new CUs "Base Services [Client] Diagnostics" which includes the returnDiagnostics behaviour
  • Added Base Service Behaviour and Base Services Diagnostics to the new Conformance Group
  • Added the diagnostics CU as optional to Core Server and Core Client
