Only the IOLinkDeviceType defines these tags. If Port is configured to e.g. DI not tags available anymore. Do we need ApplicationSpec.-/Function-/LocationTag for Pin2 and optinally for Pin4?

J.S. Yes, might be good for the case that one wants to name his analog devices.
@JS:
• • Add sentence in spec. After: “The optional Variable Pin2ProcessData provides the process data value of the Pin2. The DataType is vendor-specific.”, which describes, that the variable has to be not visible if the pin2 config is “not supported”
-> Clarification added in 1.00.01

@Editor: Please double check the clarification is in V1.00.01 and V1.01 document.

WG decision: No extension from our companion specification. If this would be a use case this should be defined by the SMI from IO-Link.
