Summary0009008: MaxStringLength property for array DataVariables - clarification needed
Description

Table 13 - Variable NodeClass (page 32) says for the optional standard Property MaxStringLenth:

"Only used for DataVariables having a String DataType or a LocalizedText DataType (the text field). This optional Property indicates the maximum number of bytes supported by the DataVariable."

In case of an array of strings, it is not clear whether MaxStringLength should indicate the maximum number of bytes of an individual element of the array, or the maximum number of bytes of the whole array.

Based on discussion related to 0008051, the correct understanding is that MaxStringLength indicates the maximum length of each element of the array. I suggest adding the sentence used in Table 7 of Part 14: "If the valueRank is greater than 0 this field applies to each element of the array."
