Added the UAFX Station 2024 Facet, Superseding the UAFX Station Facet by adding the LLDP Information Facet, which makes the BMN IEEE LLDP Info CU mandatory. This exposes the LLDP Local System YANG data. In addition, the Base Bridge Component 2024 Facet was added, superseding the Bridge Component Facet by adding the mandatory BNM LLDP Port Info Remote Systems Data CU that exposes the LLDP Remote System YANG data in all UAFX Stations containing a Bridge Component.

After reviewing the proposed resolution with the NWG, it was decided that adding OPC UA Server requirements to the Base Bridge Facet was inappropriate, so an alternative resolution is needed.

A new proposal that does not require adding BNM CUs to Bridge Facets is needed.

During the 8/28/2024 NWG meeting, it was decided to add the requirement to Part 82 that all UAFX Stations that support a bridge must expose the LLDP Object in a similar fashion to the way the other BNM objects are required, e.g., PriorityMappingTableType and IetfBaseNetworkInterfaceType.

Proposal for Part 84 -
1) add the LLDP Information Facet to the UAFX Station Facet (which only required exposing the local LLDP database),
2) add a CU requiring a UAFX Station to support the BNM LLDP Port Info Remote Systems Data if the UAFX Station supports a bridge (easier said than done).

The challenge with the second part of the proposal is that there is no good way to conditionally require a CU to be supported in a Profile—in this case, "if a bridge is supported." I would prefer we change how the Networking CUs are written from duplicating the requirements stated in Part 82 (each mandatory requirement has a separate CU) to simply saying all mandatory requirements in Part 82 are supported—UAFX Station Base Conformance Unit.

After reviewing the proposed changes described in the previous note during the NWG Sept 4, 2024 meeting, it was decided not to add the BNM LLDP Port Info Remote Systems Data CU to the Base Bridge Facet. Instead, a conditional CU (containing an "if") was added to the new UAFX Station 2024 Profile (supersedes the UAFX Station Profile) -

Created a new CU, UAFX EthernetUAFXStation Remote Systems Data, and added it to an updated UAFX Station 2024 Facet as Is Optional = False. The LLDP Information Facet was also added to the new UAFX Station 2024 Facet.
