The focus of the Conformance Test discussion was on not needing a reference to the Descriptor itself and on the lack of clear requirements for what Descriptors must be included in the Descriptors folder. However, if a vendor wants to make one or more Descriptors available for OfflineEngineering, there would be a use case. The CU seems clear and probably should not be removed. |

This was discussed in the 8/13/2024 Conformance Test WG again, and it was agreed that testing the contents of references to external instances of Descriptors is reasonable and should be tested. Descriptor files contained in the AC are not required to be included in the included in the Descriptor. |
